Lesson 6-"Why we all need to practice emotional first aid" by Dr. Guy Winch.

Wednesday, November 02nd, 2022.

Session: 9 o'clock

Brief sequencing of the events:

During the meeting, the professor highlighted the points to be discussed, through presentations and, above all, with a good explanation.

A process of interpretation and socialization of ideas regarding the document was developed, in the same way the points of view of each of the students were exposed and then the solution of doubts on the subject.

At the end, each one was allowed to give their conclusion and the importance of the topic worked on.

Elaboration of details of an event:

The people today eat unhealthy and above all what the market offers, without any effort to improve the quality of products and above all without trying to improve the amount of antibiotics and pesticides that are being put in our food that are harmful to our health. .

The human beings have favoritism over our body and not our mind, we find it much more interesting what society thinks than our own mental health.

Analysis of the event:

We know usual things, but we know about our psychological health.

Mental health should come first in people, without worrying about others.

We sustain psychological injuries even more often than we do physical ones, injuries like failure or rejection or loneliness. And they can also get worse if we ignore them, and they can impact our lives in dramatic ways. And yet, even though there are scientifically proven techniques we could use to treat these kinds of psychological injuries, we don't. It doesn't even occur to us that we should because we care about the rest.

Reflection

Mental health is a very broad topic today in society and I think that many times it can manifest itself in different ways, today I felt that one of my colleagues was so frustrated that she wanted to cry, her eyes were teary and especially her face very bored, I put myself in their shoes because I know what it feels like to be like this and above all not achieve what one studies.

In that sense I felt very good and I think I had a good performance with each of the criteria to work on, but I know like everyone else that we have to keep improving and above all keep going despite the adversities.

Each of the training processes is of great importance and we must know that our work needs it and above all we need more educational spaces with constant and active interaction to improve each of the skills, that are not only written but that we try to improve in each of the skills with didactic and educational tools.
